Even though Nassau County Council on Aging’s (NCCOA’s) Senior Expo has been postponed to 2022, we still have FREE stuff for you right now! “The Great Giveaway” will be held Friday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Janice Ancrum Senior Life Center, 1901 Island Walk Way in Fernandina Beach.
On this day, we’ll have lots of FREE items in our front parking lot. These include the following: bathroom aids, bed pans, bed rails, bed trays, crutches, enhanced vision machine, floor cushions (bed), hand sanitizer, hospital beds (2), incontinence supplies, masks, pill dispensers, quilts, rollators, standing canes, 3-wheel walkers and more…first come, first serve!
We also have awesome promotional giveaways (Hint: Beach) and even a few odds ‘n ends! Beyond Horizons’ Courtney Thompson will be there with her food truck stocked with yummy bites (a portion of the proceeds will benefit Nassau County seniors).
“We were disappointed to postpone this year’s Expo due to COVID spikes, but most of our attendees are seniors and we wanted to be abundantly cautious,” said Janice Ancrum, NCCOA President & CEO. “Instead of a large indoor gathering, we’ll be outside in our parking lot for our Great Giveaway…a much safer spot to pick up FREE medical equipment and supplies, as well as a few surprises. We hope to see you there!”
NCCOA staff and volunteers will be available to help you transfer any items to your vehicle. If you have any questions, please contact Margo Morlock, Volunteer Manager, at 904-775-5490.
