Why Supporting Seniors Matters
In Nassau County, our senior population continues to increase dramatically each year. Today, seniors comprise approximately 30% of our county – that’s more than 27,000 seniors. A substantial percentage – estimated between 8-11% – live at or below the poverty level.
Your donations provide a meaningful way to take care of our seniors and help ensure that they are happy and healthy. Here are a few NCCOA programs and services supported by our generous community:
- Meals on Wheels and congregate meals | - Senior Life Centers in Fernandina Beach and Hilliard |
- Advocate Home Healthcare | - Health and fitness |
- The Club" adult day healthcare, caregiver education and services | - CHORE small home repair |
- Geriatric case management | - Support groups |
- Wellness clinics | - On-site classes, events and activities |
